GMAT Graduate Management Admission Test
The GMAT, which stands for (Graduate Management Admission Test), is a standardized computer-evaluated test. More than 5,400 programs offered by more than 1,500 universities and institutes in 83 countries use the GMAT as part of their admission criteria.
Whereas, business schools use the test as a criterion for admission to a wide range of graduate programs in management, including MBA-MBA, Master of Accountancy, and Master of Finance programs.
The GMAT test is administered at interconnected, standardized test centers in more than 110 countries around the world.
GMAT Exam Sections:
The GMAT exam consists of four sections: Analytical Writing Assessment Section, Integrated Reasoning Section, Quantitative Section, and Verbal Section.

- Verbal section
The total test time is three and a half hours, but the test taker must plan for a total of four hours with breaks,
The answers to the questions of both the quantitative and verbal sections of the GMAT test are in a multiple-choice method, and the questions are managed by a computer-adaptive format, which adapts to the level of the test taker, as at the beginning of the multiple-choice sections, questions of medium difficulty are presented to test takers When they answer each question, the computer evaluates the answer, and uses it to determine which question to submit next. Correct answers usually lead to more difficult questions. Incorrect answers generally lead to questions of lower difficulty. This process continues until test takers complete this section. Point the computer will have an accurate assessment of their ability level in that department.
Scores and points:
The overall score ranges from 200 to 800 and measures performance in the quantitative and verbal sections (performance in the Analytical Writing and Integrated Reasoning assessment sections does not count towards the overall score). The distribution of scores is represented by a bell curve with a standard deviation of approximately 100 points, which means that 86% of test takers have a score between 400 and 600.
How to register for the GMAT exam:
Students wishing to take the GMAT exam must register online from the mba.com website or by calling one of the test centers to set an exam date. An appointment must be taken from one of the specified test centers. The GMAT test shall not be taken more than once within 31 days, even if the result is cancelled.
